Dr. Melinda Anderson understands that parents are the best advocates for their children. Supporting PARENTS is critical to academic success.
​“As a business owner, I am prepared to navigate future budget shortfalls. My skill set will be critical for budget oversight, resource allocation, and financial transparency.
As a parent of four children, I am ready to refocus my energy and time on high-quality instruction for all students attending TVUSD schools.
Earning my Doctorate from Loma Linda University, I have always held education to a high standard.
I have served as a university professor teaching anatomy and pathology, as well as an alternative high school teacher in rural communities. I have volunteered with the PTA, Boy Scouts of America, ADA, and youth soccer organizations.
I have served on medical mission trips to India and Thailand, and participated is projects with Loma Linda University Mecca and Sac Health Norton, where medical services are limited. Giving back has always been something that I am passionate about.​​​​
I am committed to serving our students, teachers, parents, staff, and our community. We need to improve academics, strengthen school-parent relationships by supporting parental rights, keep our campuses safe and uphold accountability.
With a proven track record of serving diverse communities around the world, I understand the unique challenges faced by students from all walks of life. My global experience allows me to bring fresh, innovative solutions to ensure every child in our district has the opportunity to thrive, no matter their background. As a school board member, I will advocate for equitable resources, support for underrepresented students, and a curriculum that prepares our children for a competitive world.”
